April 23, 2008, Whitesnake's 10th studio album, which is the first album after Doug joined the band, was finally released in Japan.  I had been waiting for this album since Doug joined the band, so I was very pleased to get it.

Best Years This song starts from Doug's bluesy guitar.  I feel this song says that now is the "Best Year" and that this is the new chapter of Whitesnake.  This guitar solo is one of my favorites in this album.  I like this kind of guitar solo since LION days.
Can You Hear The Wind Blow
This song is bluesy too.  The guitar solo is very cool.  This is more powerful than "Best Years", and David said in the interview that this song expressed overcoming the changes in life.  I can feel that and this song is really filled with power.
Call On Me
This song is groovy song.  It has cool guitar riffs and must be great at concert.  The guitar is roaring and the guitar solo was really cool.  The guitar sound at the end is interesting.
All I Want All I Need
When I first listened to this song, tears were falling.  First 3 songs are so powerful, so maybe I was relaxed to hear this warm ballad.  I'm deeply impressed with David Coverdale's emotional vocals.  His lyrics are filled with love.  I can feel there are many people around him who love him, and he also loves them.  The warm and beautiful guitar solo heals my heart.
Good To Be Bad
This song is the title track and starts from roaring guitar.  It reminds me of the guitar riffs of "Full Moon Fever" or "Blood On The Streets" from Bad Moon Rising days.  The guitar solo is really cool.
All For Love
This guitar harmony is really great.  This type of song is rare in this album.  Is this because both Doug and Reb has been working for the band with only one guitarist before Whitesnake?  If they make this type of song more, it will be interesting.  I'm very interested in hearing this song live.  This guitar solo is by Reb Beach.  His guitar solo is different from Doug.  It was in his Winger days when I first heard his guitar, and I saw Winger show a long time ago.  It's rock sound, but something different.  I can't express well, but it sounds near the keyboard sound.
Summer Rain
This is warm ballad.  I like this lyric best.  I can feel David's love for the person he loves most.  His vocals is really amazing.  The chorus part is very beautiful.  His vocals on rock songs are great, but really beautiful on ballads.  He sang "Soldier Of Fortune" by a cappella at concert in 2003.  I was very impressed with his emotional vocals echoing in the venue.
Lay Down Your Love
This is heavy song started from strong vocal harmony.  Doug seems to use the special tuning on the guitar.  His guitar is really strong and powerful.  This song is best for the first song of the show, I think.  It reminds me of "Crying In The Rain" or "Still Of The Night".  But it's filled with Dougish cool guitar solo.
A Fool In Love
This song is bluesy with unique groove.  It's great for playing live, I think.  It reminds me of "Crying In The Rain", but something new.
Got What You Need
This is powerful rock song.  Doug seems to use the unique tuning on the guitar also.  Maybe it's effective for this unique groove.  The guitar riffs sound like slide guitar, but this seems to be played by keyboards.
'Til The End Of Time
This song has an atmosphere like cowboy, I think.  It sounds like Led Zeppelin.  This seems to be the first riffs which Doug gave David.  It's really cool that this is featured as the last song in the album.  And this song is good for the last song at concert.

Bonus Tracks
All For Love (Doug Aldrich Solo Version)
This is the other version featuring Doug Aldrich guitar solo.  Doug's solo is more rock sound.  It's rare that we can hear 2 versions of the song with 2 each guitarists in the album, so it's very interesting.  About the guitar sound, I prefer to Doug's, but both of them are playing the great solos.
Summer Rain (Acoustic Version)
This is the acoustic version of the same song in the album.  The acoustic guitar sounds really beautiful.  David's vocals is amazing with these guitars.  I wanted them to play an acoustic show in Japan.  I think this song is more beautiful if it's played live.

All songs are gorgeous and fantastic, so I'm very satisfied with this album.  It was 1987 album that I started listening to Whitesnake, and Doug's LION album also.  I saw both bands at concert in 1988.  I didn't know Whitesnake's earlier albums, so I got the earlier albums after Doug joined the band.  Most fans may compare this new album with the old albums or the new band members with the ex-players (especially guitarists), but now the original band member is only David Coverdale and this new album was created with the new band members except for him.  This is the 10th album of Whitesnake, but is it meaningful to compare this with the old albums?  I feel this is the birth of the new Whitesnake.  Of course, David Coverdale and Doug Aldrich who is also a fan of Whitesnake were the main songwriters & producers in this album, so it's natural that the album keeps Whitesnake's music style and attitude.  I didn't think about the old albums and just listened to this album, then I felt this album was really amazing.

I love this album most among the Whitesnake albums now.  It may be one of the reasons that I've been a fan of Doug Aldrich for 20 years since LION days.  I've been listening to his albums and his playing on the other related albums.  And this album is surely the best album for him, and his guitar plays and sounds on this album is the best.  I can feel that he put his whole energy into this album.  The guitar sound is the most impressive part in the album, I think.  I can feel big power and passion for music from this album.  All songs are impressive and I can feel that I'm very proud of supporting Doug Aldrich for 20 years.  They will tour all over the world this year.  Now is surely the highlight of Doug's career ... I wish he will get true success as a guitarist with this great album.
Doug, David, Reb, Timothy, Uriah, and Chris, thanks for the awesome album!
