The show in Chile was cancelled
The show in Chile scheduled on May 16 was
chancelled by the gears of the band's late arrival
and David Coverdale's sick.
The statement from David coverdale was announced
on Whitesnake's official site on May 17.
And Doug commented about it on his
official board.
Statement from David Coverdale May 17
"My sincere apologies that I have to
disappoint our Chilean friends by cancelling
tonight's show in Santiago.
Following a very uncomfortable night of coughing
and difficulties breathing I arranged to
see a doctor early this morning. The doctor
strongly recommended I cancel this evening's
concert to avoid damaging my vocal cords.
He is confident that a few days rest with
the medications he's prescribed will be sufficient
to restore my well being, so our shows in
Lima & Mexico City will not be affected.
Once again, I can only express my regrets
& I sincerely hope to make up for this
whenever I can."

"Just wanted to post to you guys and
also the WS fans in Chile. I am really sorry
that we wont get to play the gig here Santiago.
It sucks big time. Well, we ran into a bit
of rough luck yesterday. The airline that
we used to fly from Argentina to Chile changed
to a different plane and our equipment got
bumped to a flight that was very very late.
We had no gear...no guitars no nothing, so
last night the show needed to be moved to
today. Then, last night DC got a really bad
cough and had a hard time to breathe, so
he didnt get to sleep all night. He saw a
doctor, and the doc said he was ordered to
rest. Even though DC would have wanted to
play, he has to follow what the doctor said.
The shows have been really cool and DC has
been kicking ass....Its really really a big
disapointment for us as we were so up for
playing last night, and then again tonight.
I know we will get back here as soon as its
possible. Sorry.. Doug "

In New York City
As part of an industry-only showcase for
the forthcoming Good To Be Bad, WHITESNAKE
legend David Coverdale stopped into the Big
Apple to promote the excellent new album.
Claiming that the reformation is something
of a "mission from God" and imploring
the assemblage to heed the "gospel of
the Snake," comedian turned frontman
entertained an intimate gathering at the
Cutting Room, in Manhattan, accompanied by
guitarist Doug Aldridge. Taking questions
between songs, the re-vitalized Snake performed
(in order): 'Give Me All Your Love', 'Can
You Hear The Wind Blow', 'All I Want , All
I Need', 'Lay Down Your Love', 'Fool For
Your Lovin', 'Deeper The Love', (great old-school
blues of) 'Ain't No Love In The Heart Of
The City' ("We need bongos!") and
a rousing, audience participation 'Here I
Go Again'. Coverdale played the jester, something
between Monty Python & Shakespeare, ad-libbing,
"Let's do ('All I Want, All I Need')
in Renaissance style, in honor of (former
DEEP PURPLE cohort) Ritchie Blackmore. Shakespeare
DID write Slide It In." Then adding
the absence of a drummer, despite a kit being
provided, "Thanks for the drummer not
showing up. Where the fuck is Carmine (Appice)?"

in Japan finally.
The Japanese CD will be released from Warner
Music Japan on April 23 and it includes 2

After a long year writing and recording,
Whitesnake will be releasing the newest studio
recording
Good To Be Bad this spring. David, Doug and
the band are extremely anxoius and excited
to uncoil the new songs.
Release dates are Germany-April18th, Europe-April
21st, US and Canada-April 22nd.

Doug on Japanese TV
Last year when Doug came to Japan for the
30th anniversary shows of the Japanese singer,
Masanori Sera, he was interviewed for the
Japanese TV. The TV program "SONGS"
will be broadcasted on January 30.
Masanori Sera - he debuted in 1977 with the
rock band called "Twist". He
appealed to the Japanese music fans widely,
and made many hit songs. After the
band broke up, he worked as an actor alongside
working as a musician. He acted in
the TV drama like "Taiyo Ni Hoero",
and the movies like "Gokudoh No Tsuma
Tachi", "Kanzo Sensei". He
is highly estimated as an actor.
This program expresses his new music world
through his acoustic session with the American
guitarist he's been working for many years,
looking back to his music work in 30 years,

to be released end of April
To celebrate their 30th Anniversary, Whitesnake
will release gGood to Be Badh, through
SPV / Steamhammer end of April in Europe
and USA - their first studio album in a decade.
The album features 11 new, slamming Whitesnake
songs which are guaranteed to take their
place alongside their multi-million selling
catalogue.
Legendary front man, David Coverdale, says,
gThe new album contains all the elements
I enjoy about Whitesnake, and more. I can
hear moments that take me back to the bluesy,
early years of the band all the way through
the band's musical history to fully embrace
the more electric aspects of where we are
now, as a band. I'm thrilled with it and
