Masanori Sera's 30th anniversary show
Doug came to Japan for playing at the Masanori
Sera's 30th anniversary shows, and the shows
were over. Doug came to Japan on November
25, and after some rehearsing he played at
the show on November 28 and 29, and then
left Japan on December 1. He was off
from Whitesnake this week and he will be
back to work for Whitesnake after he got
home. Whitesnake's new album is expected
to be released in March. Doug said
the songs were rich in variety on the album
and it was really great. So let's look
forward to hearing it!

Doug plays on ex-Whitesnake's bassist's solo
album

Doug plays on ex-Whitesnake's bass player,
Marco Mendoza's solo album called "Live
For Tomorrow".
Frontiers Records proudly announce the release
of MARCO MENDOZA solo album gLive For Tomorrowh
on July 6th 2007.
Marco is one of the most respected and well
known musicians in the Los Angeles music
scene. According to Ted Nugent, gMarco
is the worldfs greatest bass player and
he's got the soul". He also played with
the likes of Thin Lizzy (with whom he's been
recently touring UK and going to appear live
during the summer), Whitesnake, Blue Murder,
Ozzy Osbourne and The Cranberries.
Though most often recognized for his jaw-dropping
6-string fretless bass chops, Marco is a
master of the 4, 5 and 6-string fretted bass,
too. But that's not enough. In "Live
For Tomorrow", his debut solo album,
Marco shows his hidden vocal talent, which
just needs to be heard to be believed! Mixing
different vocals styles from the bluesy David
Coverdale and Paul Rodgers ranges to the
Eric Martin-esque overtones, Mendoza shines
as a singer that is able to deliver a passionate
and strong performance in every song.
gLive For Tomorrowh was mostly written
and produced by Marco during the second half
of 2006 and the beginning of 2007, together
with former Poison and Mr. Big guitarist
Richie Kotzen, who also produced the album.
Musically the record offers a sincere and
down to earth sound, reminiscing of classic
Hard Rock (with hints to AC/DC, Mr Big, Damn
Yankees etc.) with Blues and Melodic Rock
roots.
Some very special guests appear to tribute
the talent of this amazing guy. Among them:
Ted Nugent, Doug Aldrich (of Whitesnake)
and Steve Lukather of TOTO all offer
guitar solos appearances, Tommy Aldridge
of Whitesnake and Brian Tichy (Pride and
Glory, Ozzy Osbourne, Foreigner, and Billy
Idol) play drums while Richie Kotzen of course
handles the bulk of guitars and duets on
vocals with Marco on gI Want Youh.
Sit back, light a cigar, relax, put the stereo
on and enjoy the ride that this musical master
can offer!
"Live For Tomorrow" will include
the following cuts:
Not For Me
Live For Tomorrow
Lettin' Go
Look Out For The Boys
I Want You
Your Touch
Let The Sun Shine
You Got Me
In My Face
Broken
Still In Me
Dance With Me
"Live For Tomorrow" will be released
on July 6th 2007 in Europe on Frontiers Records
with US release on Locomotive and Japanese
release on King.

Whitesnake's New Album
David Coverdale stated that he's planning
to release the Whitesnake's new album "Good
To Be Bad" in October. He says
he may use some of Glenn Hughes' singing
....
Here's David's post on the Whitesnake's official
board:
"Just a quickie to let You know that
All is ship shape & moving along wonderfully...I
am thrilled, erect nipples anf all, with
the new songs & very excited to be presenting
them to You later this year...SPVfs wishlist
is for an October release...so, wefre not
having to pressure ourselves with too extreme
a deadline...God Willing, those days be gone...As
far as touring, it appears this will also
be late Summer, as the ENTIRE WORLD is out
there on the road throf the Summer, doing
their very best to seduce YfAll...My US
agent told me that every single amphitheatre
in every major city in the States has a enamef
act headlining every night of the week this
season...so, unless any significant touring
opportunity presents itself I think wefll
concentrate on making a cracking record that
will make us All proud...
Itfs interesting you should ask about Glenn...I
was talking with Doug recently that I was
thinking that some of the new songs could
use some of Glennfs extraordinary singing,
but, just a thought at this time...I havent
discussed anything with him...we shall have
to see how that goes...so, please donft
be holding me to anything..."
And Whitesnake's anniversary album of 1987
"1987: 20 Anniversary Collector's Edition"
is planning to be released.
