Well, just got home... Come on Jetlag!! Thanks to you all for the well wishes on the Japan tour....The wishes worked and we had a great time! The shows went really good and each one was more fun than the last. Only thing was this tour was way to short a time in such an amazing country. It seems like we were in and out in just a few days.... But it was amazing as always. Thanks to everyone who came to the shows and also the people that came to say hi after the shows. It was very cool to see you there. Everyone was very nice to us. See you next time!

Hi you guys,
I am fully recovered now and digging sleeping in the same bed everynight!

Its amazing, when you are traveling like we did this summer, you just kinda get in a haze and its routine to pack and unpack everyday. Everyday a new place to see, etc as it is on the road.
I love it, but mostly for the time playing during the shows. Doesnt matter how hard things are. As soon as I hear my guitar cranked, its all good!
But there is nothing like being home.... I cant believe that I dont HAVE to go anywhere for the next couple months!

So I am doing stuff in the studio and around the house. I put up some new shutters on my place and have a wall to build. A big difference from what I have been doing, but gonna be cool once its done.

Anyway, I want to thanks everyone that came to the Summer shows.... I very much appreciate the support for the new record and shows. I was lucky enough to see/meet some of my friends, but I missed seeing a few of you also. At the gigs, specially festivals, it can be difficult to make connections with you all. But I'll look forward to next time.
Thanks so much for making this tour so cool for me and the band. We had a great time jamming!

Japan Quake
Just heard about this Japan Quake near Sendai. 7.0 Its really big. I hope Yuki, Kyoko, Harumi and everyone over there is ok. Sendai is a little ways away from Tokyo, but im sure they felt it big in Tokyo. Its wierd too, I was on the way to the airport this morning and I told the guys I had a nightmare last night, that there was a massive quake in California. Anyway, let us know if you are ok there as soon as you can. Doug

Just got to Europe
Hey you guys, just wanted to say hi... I was crazy busy in LA last week. I spent most of that time trying to get my house in order since I was gonna be gone for a while this time... New Shutters on the windows, got the sprinkler doctor over so the grass dont die! Got some trees trimmed and fixed my gate! And most important... Our newest pooch Chiquito needed to be neutered!! He did good and now maybe he will mellow out a bit... Just got into Denmark for a couple days rehearsal b4 we start. Its beautiful here. Very much looking forward to seeing you all soon. Sorry I missed some important B-days and messages.. I will respond in the next couple days. OK well, going to get some dinner. Talk to you all soon. Best regards, Doug

Just wanted to post to you guys and also the WS fans in Chile. I am really sorry that we wont get to play the gig here Santiago. It sucks big time. Well, we ran into a bit of rough luck yesterday. The airline that we used to fly from Argentina to Chile changed to a different plane and our equipment got bumped to a flight that was very very late. We had no gear...no guitars no nothing, so last night the show needed to be moved to today. Then, last night DC got a really bad cough and had a hard time to breathe, so he didnt get to sleep all night. He saw a doctor, and the doc said he was ordered to rest. Even though DC would have wanted to play, he has to follow what the doctor said. The shows have been really cool and DC has been kicking ass....Its really really a big disapointment for us as we were so up for playing last night, and then again tonight. I know we will get back here as soon as its possible. Sorry.. Doug

Hey, just wanted to thank everyone who we got to meet and came to the gigs down there. Those shows were very special cause of you all. For me it was amazing to finally visit both countries. Melbourne
Just checking in.... Tour is going great and we have a couple more shows b4 we head back home for a short break. But The people in Australia have been very good to us. Its very beautiful here and much more than the photos we see of the cities. We flew in yesterday and had a day off in Melbourne. At the airport I ran into and met Chris Robinson and then met Rich his brother! I didnt know they were gonna be playing last night but as soon as I heard...you all know where I was last night. Seeing the f*%@!Kin Black Crowes! What luck! Great show and it was! Ok, talk to you guys soon. Hope you all are doing well and looking forward to the record release finally. Take it easy, Doug

Happy Easter!
Hey you all, just wanted to say hope you had a great Easter weekend. This year is already flying by.... Well, we had our first gig lastnight and it was great! DC sang his ass off like he has been on the road for months. He is really up for it! Went down and saw a bit of Kiss and Alice Cooper on Sat. Its been so long since I played live, I just wanted to get in the mood. It was a really well done event and the show was amazing. Last night was Poison, WS and Ozzy. Got to see a bunch of friends this weekend so that was cool. I was able to hear Poison and they sounded really great. After we played, I had some time to catch up with Zakk and then watched some of Ozzy. It was so cool to see...I havent seen Zakk play live for a long time and he was awsome! Ozzy did great too...really fun to hear those tunes. Well, hope you all had a good Easter! Ill be checking in a bit more once we get in Australia. Take it easy, Doug
